The Cabinet is made up of the Elected Mayor and between two and nine other Councillors appointed by the Elected Mayor. Cabinet is responsible for the discharge of those functions and responsibilities defined as ‘executive functions’ under the Local Authorities (Functions and Responsibilities) (England) Regulations 2000 and also those functions which are known as ‘local choice functions’ where Full Council has decided they should be the responsibility of Cabinet.
