The Home Office has commissioned an independent review of the Riot (Damages) Act 1886, which is being led by Mr Neil Kinghan.

As part of the review, Mr Kinghan will be visiting the areas most affected by the riots of August 2011, including Hackney.  He is keen to hear the views of local residents and businesses who were affected by the riots and will be holding meetings on Tuesday 30 July.
