Parking around Warburton Street · Parking on footpaths by and double yellow lines by cars and vans · Traffic wardens have told residents that they cannot issue tickets if parked on the pavement - clarify with Parking / Streetscene · London Fields Brewery leaving crates and kegs on pavements, improved but still a problem · Transport (Kevin Burke and Chris Porter) informed at Sept Ward Forum - update from Transport for specific plans to tackle issue in 10-year strategy
Cycling · Measures required to slow down cyclists in the park, e.g. signs, clearly marked paths, zebra crossings -> update from Transport
Broadway Market businesses · Offloading from 2 or 3 businesses leading to palettes and waste being dumped on Alden Estate - report to Commercial Waste / Licencing & Trading Standards to take action · Tables and chairs encroaching on pavements sometimes taking up more than half, difficult for wheelchairs to get through without going onto road - report to Streetscene / Licencing & Trading Standards to consider installing metal markers on paths
Middleton Road · Plans to tackle parking and congestion from ‘rat running’ - update from Transport for specific plans
Basement conversions · Number of cases rapidly increasing · Problems include damaged pavements, long-term loss of parking spaces from skips on roads, danger to pedestrians from build waste conveyor belt, extra traffic and disruption to bus routes · Clearer, stronger and enforceable conditions should be required for planning permission - speak to Planning
