Appointment to Group Director, Children, Adults and Community Health Post Minutes: Mr Paul introduced the report as set out. The usual channels of internal and external advert would be used for the recruitment which was more cost effective than using the services of a head hunter. Deputy Mayor Bramble agreed that this was the most appropriate method for recruitment for this post.
The Appointments Committee agreed to set up an Appointments Sub-Committee to manage the recruitment process with the following membership:
Mayor Philip Glanville, Deputy Mayor Bramble, Cllr Jonathan McShane, Cllr Ann Munn or Cllr Christopher Kennedy and one member from the opposition Conservative Party.
